Problem Note 37492: Create permission does not appear in the Authorization tab for table objects

DetailsAboutRate It

If you open the Properties window for a table object in SAS® Management Console and navigate to the Authorization tab, you will see a list of permissions for the table that you can then grant or deny. The Create permission is omitted from the list of permissions.

However, the Create permission is required to be granted in order to add or delete records from a table when that table's library is assigned with the META engine. Since the Create permission can not be modified at the table level, the only circumvention is to grant the Create permission on the Folder of which that table is a member. Note that this effectively grants Create permission on all objects within that Folder.
